By using BeachGuard, you agree to use it only as a personal, foreground motion-alert tool and in accordance with applicable law. These are the same terms shown inside the app under Settings › Legal.

What BeachGuard provides

BeachGuard can monitor motion while it remains visible and active, initiate device-owner authentication after a detected pickup, accept a configured Trusted Person Code, and play an audible, visual, and haptic alarm. It is not a system lock screen and cannot lock iPhone, prevent power-off, override system controls, track an iPhone, or recover property.

Your responsibilities

Before relying on Guard Mode, test the alarm safely away from your ears, configure a Trusted Person Code that differs from your iPhone passcode, confirm that Guided Access is active, and check the selected audio route and system volume. You are responsible for obtaining permission before using an audible alarm where others may be affected.

Safety

Do not use BeachGuard as an emergency service, personal-safety guarantee, medical alert, or substitute for Apple security features such as a device passcode and Find My. Guided Access can restrict normal iPhone use; end it before attempting an emergency call. Follow local rules for alarms, venues, and public spaces.

Apple platform

BeachGuard operates within iOS permissions and restrictions. Apple's authentication prompts, system volume, audio routing, Guided Access, and device security controls remain under iOS control. Your use of Apple services is also subject to Apple's applicable terms.

No guarantee

BeachGuard is provided as an assistive alert tool. Detection, authentication, sound output, and app availability can be affected by iPhone hardware, settings, battery, audio route, Guided Access, operating-system behavior, and the surrounding environment. To the extent permitted by law, BeachGuard does not guarantee that loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized access will be prevented.

Changes

These terms may be updated for future versions. Continued use of a version after updated terms are made available indicates acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
